Friends of Mexico supports the primary schools in the poor areas of the city of Mazatlán.

Depending on what the schools need, this takes many forms. We have built a cafeteria and kitchen at the all-day school and then continued to supplement the lunch program for the children who cannot afford the fee.

In 2020, we repaired a school’s leaking roof.
We have purchased a water filtration system and a water pump, as well as a drinking fountain and air conditioner for two classrooms.
Two years ago, a team of 26 of our members went to a school to paint all of the students’ desks.
We also have a team of members who teach weekly English classes from November to March.

All donations are used for the purpose of encouraging children to stay in school in a healthy, safe environment so they can continue to be successful.
